Do I bring my bird to you?

Yes. We are located in South LA between Culver City and USC (zip code 90008).

Pack list: food, toys, sleeping cover, and anything else like a perch that might help your bird baby feel at home quickly.

Please bring your bird to us on scheduled drop-off day/time and when it is time for pick-up, you return and pick up your bird. We coordinate and confirm pick-up and drop-off times.

Do you come to my house to bird sit?

Currently, I have only bird sat at flock headquarters (my home in zip code 90008).

Feel free to reach out in case I can make it work though. I’d love to expand in the future!

Do I bring my own bird food?

Yes, please bring your bird’s food for the entire stay. We find birds feel happiest when they have the food they are most familiar with. If your bird requires special meal requirements and preparation please let us know so we can discuss and plan accordingly. We will try out best to accommodate your bird’s diet needs.

As a backup, we have ZuPreem FruitBlend Flavor Pellets Bird Food for Medium Birds and a mixture of birdseed (mainly safflower seeds) and are happy to use this by request.

We give the birds fresh foods daily, which vary on the season. Lately, we’ve been providing fresh green apples and bell pepper (and they love it!).

If I call, will you pick up the phone?

I typically do not pick up the phone from unknown numbers, too many spammers out there!

However, if you do want to chat on the phone, please send a text or fill out the information form and I will reach out within 3 days (usually sooner, within 1 day!).

If you have an urgent need, texting is the fastest way to reach me.

Will you let my bird out to play?

If you allow it, YES! This is the main reason we bird sit. We want all birds to be comfortable and happy. It breaks my heart to see birds in their cage with limited human interaction (although some birds like and stay in their cage).

Our own parrot, Yoshi is out on her perch all day and only goes to sleep in her sleeping cage. However, we have pet sat many birds that are hesitant to change and prefer staying in their cage. With these birds, we integrate them with our daily routine as much as possible (sitting together for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and general time together so they feel part of the flock).

We will let the birds out in the same room with human chaperones present at all times. We separate the birds when we leave the room. If the birds are not comfortable in the same room, we alternatively have a separate room and can separate further, as needed.

Our goal is to interact with all birds so that they are safe, comfortable, and feel loved.

Do you adopt birds?

We are not in the business of adopting birds but if you need help please reach out.

We are in this for the community and hope to help when we can! We want all birds to be happy and well-loved, as well as humans who are happy too.

Are your birdsitting services insured?

Yes, I am insured by Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s, London. Certificate number is PCI94653. General Liability $1,000,000 / $2,000,000.

If you have any other questions, please fill out our form and I contact you shortly.
